The PLECS Approach is individually designed for each child.
We apply specific goals to measure progress, both at the centre and at home.
These goals aim to develop your child’s skills using a 'bottom up' and 'top down' approach over a 12 week period.
This approach targets both foundational gaps and specific intervention in parallel with a view to maximising learning effectiveness.
Let's find out how this works...
1) After you have completed the application form (link at the bottom of the page), you will be taken to a booking page where you can book a discovery call. This is a great chance to have a chat to see if we are the right fit for you and your child.
2) If we are 'a good fit' then we will book your child in for a comprehensive educational diagnostic assessment. This will help us identify your child’s specific strengths and weaknesses. You, as the parent or carer, will also complete questionnaires so we have a full picture of your child.
3) Using the results from the assessment and questionnaires, we put together a personalised program that focuses on strengthening the areas of weakness and aims to put your child on the path to success.
4) Over a 12 week period, your child will attend the learning centre (currently in Manning, Perth, WA) three times a week for 75 minutes each session. It is during these sessions that areas such as literacy, numeracy, social skills, emotional skills, sensory and motor development are developed.
5) During the 12 week period, daily activities will be required to be completed at home. Parents/carers are supported by a PLECS Coach and Training to help with sleep, emotions, nutrition and exercise/movement.
Are you ready?
Due to the customised nature, there are a limited number of places available.
1) Are you a committed and proactive parent who will do what it takes to help your child succeed, including making family life-style changes if necessary? We know life get's busy, but in order for this program to be successful, your child needs YOU to be on board.
2) Do you have a budget to invest in your child's learning development?
YES, TO BOTH QUESTIONS?
